Mission

The mission of the Office of Epidemiology and Health Promotion (OEHP) is to ensure healthier communities across West Virginia through promoting healthier lifestyles, managing health information, and decreasing disease, injury, disability, and premature death.

The West Virginia School-Based Health Assembly provides for school-based health clinics in 50 schools in 22 counties throughout West Virginia. It provides easily accessible and cost-effective care, and is strongly supported by students, parents, and school staff. The Bureau for Public Health supports this organization through membership and coordination.
