Is 30 minutes of exercise a day too much on your busy schedule all at once? A study, published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, found that three brisk 10-minute walks per day were as effective as a daily 30-minute walk in decreasing risk factors for heart disease.

Mission

The mission of the Office of Epidemiology and Health Promotion (OEHP) is to ensure healthier communities across West Virginia through promoting healthier lifestyles, managing health information, and decreasing disease, injury, disability, and premature death.

Office of Minority Health

The Office of Minority Health is a program housed at the office level within the Office of Epidemiology and Health Promotion. The mission of the Office of Minority Health is to improve and protect the health and well-being of racial and ethnic minorities through the development of programs, policies and practices to eliminate health disparities.
