Get moving! More than 50 percent of American men and women do not get enough physical activity to provide health benefits. For adults, thirty minutes of moderate physical activity on most, preferably all, days of the week is recommended.

Mission

The mission of the Office of Epidemiology and Health Promotion (OEHP) is to ensure healthier communities across West Virginia through promoting healthier lifestyles, managing health information, and decreasing disease, injury, disability, and premature death.

Central Fiscal Office

OEHP Central Finance Unit, under Acting Director Gary Wiseman, see that all four OEHP Divisions’ bills and personnel are posted and paid, grants reviewed and audited, travel is authorized and paid, budgets prepared, supplies ordered and received, and other fiscal tasks too numerous to name.
